My "for really" Buff Brahmas, otherwise known as "The Tinys because they are the youngest. Unusual to get all 8 of them sitting so still for a photo op! On the ground under them are a few of the Littles, the older chicks. A couple of Light Brahmas in that mix.
Newmarch- His saddle feathers are starting to come in nicely. Still nothing on mine yet. I'm thinking more and more that it's a hen with a very wide comb. I'll post update pics soon, of both my girls. ;-)
Sigh, have to revamp the entire roosting situation in my coop, it works fine for everyone but the Brahma cockerel. Since the roosts are directly above the poop board in my somewhat cramped yet oddly roomy hen house he does not have enough wing space to get up on them in the little area the big girls have relegated the newbies to. It doesn't help that I have had to partition off a spot for the head hen since she wants to kill him still. I have to put up a trash can on the roosts as a barrier or the big girls run the littles off the roosts altogether. I am sick of this whole integration process already
Had to show off my girls, oops, and my boy. The buff girls are named the buffalo girls and now we have Buffalo Bill to go along with them!! The buffs are 15 weeks old the whiteys are 14 weeks and darks are 13 weeks. Love these critters. The buffs are the friendliest, curious chicks I know!
From a couple of different feed stores from Privett hatchery. Beauties if I must say so myself!
