Backyard Brahmas!!

Pics
Nice, a nice little chap...the pullet just has a lot of dark in her, but she´s still buff. I have one like that because she has partridge in her..brings out the darker colouring. Very pretty, though....unless, of course, you want to take it more seriously...

Beautiful! One of our Brahmas died in the summer, and I so very much want more.

I think they are actually growing in more black as they are molting. Maybe it will help me tell them apart because they have different amounts of white and black!

Here is my wallet folks look at my chicken grand kids!!

I love all my Brahmas and have some really gorgous chickens come out of my Brahmas crossed with my mostly English Orp roo which are also very fluffy.LOVE the Fluffy ones!
Also i posted PIC my Light Brahma roo
I think hes gorgous but was told not enough black hackles .Well maybe for show but i like him so pristine and mostly WHITE!!! Get lots of compliments on him .

AND Maybe i posted this before but these offspring are so pretty to look at...Only i cant seem to really catch the green and blue sheen and in the case of my hens blue sheen on their feathers. They are so colorful the pic really doesnt show it.. Girls are only black but i just adore that fluffy look on them all. this was in late summer they are now almost rounded like their English Orp Dad.they are about 5 months here i think.

Girls are a lot younger maybe 3 months? ..They are in back.In front ..well even younger yet..one is black so i gues a sib(had 2 roos at the time my black E orps M-2 and Mt Lavender amercauan Meanie) but the other 2 looks like the dad is my Lavender Amercauna for sure the pullet..
Although one is really more blue with lacing wonder if he is my white Brahma crossed with my same English roo who is a BBS... the little boy in front is he a blue? Id be excited.Gotta wait until he grows out.

And heres Gorgous George my Light Brahma cockrel.I take the worst photos sorryHes about 5 or 6 months old.
Thanks for looking!

I can imagine. So far I´ve had ISA browns, still do, Rocks, still do, Orpington, but not any more, Indian, again not any more, and the Brahmas, which I like more than any others. They have such a gentle way with them.

And all the colours, of course, many outside of the standard, I know, but they´re gorgeous.

I also like the so-called "vulture hocks", though I hate the term, can´t see why they give them that name, (we have vultures here, they don´t have them!) but they look even better with those big feathers on their legs, I think...and, of course, where I come from (England) it´s fine.

I´m hoping to get more partridge/gold, and some splash, which I think are very pretty.

I don't know where that term came from as I don't think our vultures have feathered hocks either. I have to admit that I like the 'clean hock' look better but I DO love all the non-standard colors you all have!
