Backyard Brahmas!!

Pics
Hi everyone!
Huntress, your babies are beautiful! I'm really happy for you. Is that Green Meanie?

I haven't been on here in quite awhile. I've been waiting for my own Brahma chicks so I could share with everyone. I just got two buff and one light Brahma this am. They came from MPC, and as soon as I can figure out how to post a picture I will. It's not all good news though. The minimum order was six, and the other three arrived DOA. My granddaughter and I are mostly thankful for the three healthy ones, but I am with heavy heart as we now will go bury their three sisters. The chicks were well packaged, and I can see no damage to the box. I really think some idiot shook it. Very sad.

Here is an update pic of one of the lighter colored and one of the darker colored chicks.
Any idea on what colors I'm going to end up with? I think they are possibly a cross between dark and light Brahmas. I don't think I see any buff.

They are on opposite sides in the two pictures, but I'm pretty sure everyone can tell which is the light one :) I'm fascinated by their colors and can't wait to see what they finally turn out to look like.

Partridge and Light? My lights look a lot like that one of the right although not so brown of head.

Sjisty thanks...so far she has been a great mom!

Bird Lady I thought that too. All my others looked so sickly by hatch time. This is her first clutch so I gave her vitamins in her water and high pro mash/eggs while she was on the nest...maybe that helped.

Vickis Girls, no it's not Meanie....It is one of her sisters though. She doesn't have a name.
Sorry for the loss of your chicks but glad some made it! Looking forward to the pics!! If the pictures are on your computer already it should be pretty easy. Click on the 'insert image' icon, then click on 'upload files'. You should then be able to access your picture file (or wherever you store your pics) .....click on the picture you want to post, wait for it to load then click 'submit'. Easy peasy!
