Backyard Brahmas!!

Some can be very dark as chicks. They seem to have more dark fluff under their feathers as adults making the Columbian pattern less crisp but still nice looking birds. Its not a hard and fast rule, just my personal experience and what I've seen on here. She's a cutie!![/quote]

Thanks! Good to know, I think I might actually prefer the less crisp look! They have so much character. Good thing I'm not a breeder, lol.

Hi, we just brought these 6 beautiful Brahma chicks home a couple of days ago. They'll be 8 weeks old this week. Pretty sure two of the light ones are cockerels, and the other 4 pullets. They wouldn't stay still too well for the picture! Still working on naming them, but the buff one is called Butterscotch.

really nice video; good luck. I have a mixed flock; had one dark penciled brahma, sweetest chicken. Unfortunately she died before first birthday.

Here's a video!

How do you keep that carpet clean? I would just die, and my husband would freak out. Hahaha. I have my kids chase our chickes off the carpeted areas to contain the poops when they are out of the brooder to just the wood floor where I can wipe and clean it.
