Hi! I live in a neighborhood zoned PUD (planned use development). Which is odd given that our neighborhood has no open land in common or common spaces as required by that zoning, but whatever. Our homeowner's association says nothing about poultry, and the chart on the douglas county website detailing which zones can do what, while listing almost every other zoning classification, doesn't even list PUD zones since any existing ones are grandfathered in and they're not making anymore. Does anyone know offhand if chickens are legal, or ought I call the zoning commission to make sure?

Instead of calling you really should go in person to your zoning dept. and get something in writing if there isn't an ordinance you can physically copy. Just as important though, if you are in a HOA you should 'definitely' get something in writing from this board as well.
