Backyard Chickens now allowed in Frankfort, IN!

I lived on the outskirts of Frankfort, oh, about seven years ago and had chickens. I saw a lot of people on here (and in town) were under the impression that you couldn't have chickens.

You can. There is no restriction on size or roosters (but I really wouldn't get a rooster that's just asking for trouble! ) There's nothing in the codes that forbid it, and when I called the city they just advised me to make sure they didn't get loose.

Also instead of calling, maybe send them an email of what you just said, so you can have that in writing in case there are any problems later on. Sometimes they make new rules, but if you were in before the rules were made you can get grandfathered in.
