Backyard Chickens now legal (with license) in Sherwood, OR!

Just posting here because I am very happy about it, and want to let everyone know that it is totally possible to change city law- Chickens are now legal in Sherwood, OR.
Regretfully, the number of allowed chickens is less then I would like, but we will take the birds we can get! I owe a lot to this website, as the nice folks here gave me a lot of motivation to keep pestering my city council. I'm going to be building my coop and run and I couldn't be happier!

It never ceases to amaze me how different things are between counties here in Oregon. Awesome job getting things changed up there!

How did you do it? I live in Ohio, and my township basically dismissed me saying they can't do anything. So now I'm taking it to the county. I have send emails, but haven't had any responses yet.
