Hi.

My coop is an 8x6 shed boarded internally. It is secure as far as foxes and larger predators are concerned but rats have a good go at gnawing their way in so some ongoing maintenance is required. I also fitted laminate sheets to the floor to make cleaning easier. I've fitted plenty of perches and 4 nesting boxes. The outside run is 3 times the size of the shed again and this proves more than adequate for 9 hens and 1 rooster.
