Backyard Poultry magazine

I like the magazine. Thats why I was looking for that issue, so I would have them all.
Their other magazine "Countryside" is good also.

I love it. I pick it up at TSC. Its full of chicken information, ads for equipment, supplies, breeders, hatcheries - you name it its probably in there or a past issue. $21/yr subscription rate. 800.551.5691.

Or subscribe via their website:

I have subscribed despite the higher international rates (I'm in Canada) and am very happy with the, what, 3 issues I've gotten so far. As someone said, it's made exactly for 'people like us'

Thank you very much for the info. I am new at raising and keeping chickens so this mag. will probably help me out alot for there is alot that I do not know!!

If you go to their website you can email them requesting info. I did that and they sent me a free issue. I, of course, subscribed as soon as I started reading the first one.

I think Backyard Poultry is one of the best mags you can get. It has a little bit of everything for people that loves chickens. I gave my father-inlaw a subscription for Christmas this year and he loves it. The only thing I see wrong with it is only comes bi-weekly. I end up with dts waiting for the next issue.

I got a offer in the mail for two yr subscript for 28 dollars a couple months back so I ordered it and loved it. It only comes Bi monthly. I gave the copy to my mother to read and she is enjoying it too. I love the color pictures and they were having a photo contest. Be a good way to get your chickens published.
