I recently hatched out 10 healthy chicks and then noticed an odd smell in the incubator, shortly after I had one chick hatch and die in 3 hrs and 2 pip and die. Also another chick was also almost hatched out but it died as well I cracked open that shell to find it covered in a white mucus type film. I aborted the rest of the hatch as i did not want to contaminate the healthy chicks. Any ideas what went wrong and ways to fix it so it doesnt happen agian?
