Hey guys, its Daisy’s mom. I am coming on here to spread the awareness of coyotes. This has took me a while to do, but i think its time to tell you guys that Daisy is dead, including her “Roo Roo’s” Willow and Hibiscus. She passed quite some time ago, and it took me a while to get over it. (Obviously i still miss her). The cause of her death was coyotes and i would like to share with you what i did to keep the rest of my chickens safe. Make sure to always coop your chickens back in at night if you let them roam through out the day, and make sure to not miss any. You may think coyotes can’t jump over your fence, or wall but they surely can. Another thing you can do is if possible to have many roosters around your coop to alarm the rest if there is some animal out there. Sadly, theres not much you can do about coyotes or other wild animals so im sending prayers to keep your chickens safe. Best wishes for Daisy, Willow, and Hibiscus! 🙏😭❤️

So very sorry you lost Daisy, Willow and Hibiscus.

Coyotes are probably the most adaptable and cunning of all the countless creatures that want to eat your chickens. Fences aren't enough to deter them, as they will find ways over, under or through, given enough time.

Predators are a sad fact of life, and you're right; it's essential to make sure everyone is in at night and well-secured.

It's good of you to offer a warning to others while you are still grieving your loss. Take care.
