I recently ordered $50 of eggs, requesting they be sent last Tuesday. A few days before that, I asked to alter the order slightly to which she said there was no problem. I had specified Tuesday b/c I was trying to coordinate other ordered eggs for my hatch. When the eggs had not arrived by Saturday (with the others having waited 2-3 days) I contacted the seller and was told they eggs had been shipped on Wed. By the end of Saturday, I wrote again and received a long, hostile response from the seller that the fault was mine...or the post office's. I responded addressing her statement as politely as I could seeking out a fair resolution. She has stopped responding to my emails entirely. It's Tuesday, the other eggs have now been incubating for 3 days (I only have one incubator), and the eggs she sent have now been in the mail for a week.

I have never had this experience as a frequent egg buyer. Usually, people offer to send more eggs if I pay the shipping. I'm not sure where to go from here. I'd appreciate any thoughts or input.

was this on ebay or eggbid? did she supply a tracking number? if you paid with paypal, I would file a complaint, especially if she is ignorning your email.

I have had some awful experiences with the US mail. That said the shipper should have gotten a tracking number so you know where your eggs are. With out that tracking number they can't prove they even mailed them.. so see if she doesn't have that for you.

I agree I NEVER ship without a tracking number. I hope you get this resolved soon or I would follow up through Paypal for a refund.

She gave me the tracking number. I looked it up and it said the eggs left TX, where she is from on the 9th. She said she mailed out on the 7th. She is a BYC seller.

I tried to leave feedback on her present posting of hatching eggs, but I don't seem to be able to type in the feedback boxes.

The best thing to do when you have an unsatisfactory transaction with a BYC member is to leave feedback here on our system. All transactions should stay a private matter between buyer and seller otherwise.

Here is the old feedback form: http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=cGN6NmFDX2tsWEpEVEU4SDAxaFItUkE6MA..
You
cannot use the feedback in an auction unless you won that auction, so the old beta form works well in your situation.

One thing I want to mention, though--It's a misconception that Delivery Confirmation tells you where your package is at any given time. It merely tells you where it was the last time someone did their job and scanned it. It does not actually *track* the pkg.
