Bad egg explode on Day 20 . . . what to do?

I originally thought my BCM egg was pipping last night (day 20), but now I think it was a bad egg that cracked open. It smells sooooo bad.

Here's what it looks like . . . See the creamy stuff coming out on the right side. It goes all the way around and up the other side. It has continued to crack a little more since last night. I don't see any movement at all or hear anything.

What should I do? Should I remove it? What are the consequences to the other 7 eggs?

I have never hatched, but I plan to start this year, and have been reading a lot of hatching threads. That's my disclaimer

If it were me, I would carefully remove it...although, how to do that without it exploding in your hands may be a trick. I have read that they can be nasty!! You don't want it exploding in your incubator, though. That's bad!!

Hopefully one of the hatching gurus will show up to help! *bump*

I'm no guru, but you might want to get that egg out of there. I would cover it up with a washclothe and gingerly lift it out. Gingerly, very gingerly. That's a bomb if I've ever seen one!

The consequences? If another chick hatches and bumps that egg, kaplooey...bacteria everywhere! It wouldn't be good.

Yes,get that egg out.Be gentle with the egg and get it outside to get rid of it.Don't have the top off the bator any longer than you need to.

The first time I ever tried to hatch, I got some ebay eggs that were bad. It smelled like Satan had made egg salad in the bator. I scrubbed everything and started over. You are lucky. Yours didn't explode.
