Bad egg ?

Just opened an egg and the white looked like it was already cooked . What's wrong ?

What do you mean? Like it was boiled?

Perhaps it was sat on by a broody for a day or two?

The white was solid white beside the yolk , there was no clear white in the egg .

Yuck! I have no idea. I know though that a lot of weird things and mishaps can happen in your chickens reproductive tract...oh well, maybe this was an abnormality.
