I am a first time hatcher and candler. Yesterday was day 7. I have nine eggs that my broody hen is sitting on. Two of the nine eggs were not fertile and I’m unsure how many were bad. Hopefully by day 10 or 14 (I’m unsure when I’ll candle again), I’ll know for sure. I do know that I spotted my first blood ring (photos 1 &2). I left that egg in there anyway. I probably should have removed it and probably will today. Just want verification that it’s definitely a bad egg and also would like to know if another egg (photo 3) started developing and ended or if the egg was infertile from the get go. The photos are posted below
Thanks! I am going to come up with a better light source for candling bc my phone did not work the best but I’ll include other photos where I did see veins.
