I got this egg this afternoon from Daisey. Yesterday she produced the egg in picture #2. Pictures #3 shows what she normally produces. How do I care for her to correct this? The other 3 chicks are producing #3 eggs. I'm not going to eat egg #2 or #3, I just want to know how to care for Daisey.

Does she have access to calcium ?
Lots! That's what I thought at first but I get their food so I know better!! They get it in their food and snacks (oyster shells). They are never w/o access to it. Their food is the Purina Layena Oyster Strong mixed with pepper flakes, herbs, Good Gut, dried worms...

How much extra stuff is in the food? It maybe blocking calcium.

For now, try giving her a human calcium + vitamin D3 tablet/caplet. You can either poke it down her throat, or crush it and add to a scrambled egg, blob of ground beef, etc. Anything from a drugstore, grocery store, or Walmart/ Costco should work.

Then you can start figuring out diet issues, etc.
