Bad Eggs???

If you have eggs in the fridge how long will it take for the eggs to go bad?

I think the store refrigerate them for like 6 months.

Seems like I read somewhere 3-4 months. When in doubt, I have heard to put them in water. If the sink, they are okay, if they are bad, they will float. Please, someone, correct me if I got that wrong
