Help! My girk has a bad foot. The bottom of her foot is swelled and she limps all the time.
She gets up on the roost by herself but I have to help her down.
It looks like it is swelled where her tie meets her foot. Please can someone help me.

im no expert but it sounds like bumblefoot, search some of the forums here, there is a lot of good advice to treat it!

Sounds like bumblefoot. This is a Staphyloccus infection in the foot. It can be caused by heavy breeds jumping more than 18" repeatedly. Separate her, and if it is bumblefoot, you will have to remove the pus inside the foot. Although this is distasteful, it is necessary because this is serious. Look for a black scab on the bottom of the foot. Do a search to see how to do this procedure, but it would be good if you have an avian vet.
Good luck!
