Bad luck I guess

Sorry, yesterday was my sons bday, and thanksgiving is tomorrow and I’m super swamped, but I got another quick pic, this is Sours, and my previously unshown bird Coal. Coal and sours I’ve felt are my best chance at pullets.

Sours in front, Coal in back. They have what I’d call female poultry posture. But I know plenty of hens that strut around like roos and vice versa, so I try not to get my hopes up.

That’ll mean 5/5 males. I have 8 chicks that are almost a week old, so maybe they’ll all be pullets haha
Ive had terrible luck this year with males aswell but they made nice meals lol my olive eggers 6/7 where cockerels 3/3 of another hatch was males lol

This seems to be going around this year, I know someone else who has been getting roos all year. 4/6 of my chicks are roos
