Bad outbreak of red mite in chicks coops

I applied a permethrin powder to my chicks and coops last night.
This afternoon one of my polish chicks isn't walking properly, keeps sitting/flopping down and seems a bit odd.... when he walks he walks with no limp and I can't see an injury but he doesn't walk much then sits down. Walks a bit more, has his wings a bit low... sits down again...
Any ideas?! 😬😬

I won't try to guess what his problem is, but given they all might be a bit anaemic given the mite history, a protein boost wouldn't hurt and might help. Have you got a tin of sardines (in oil, tomato sauce or brine) you can offer him and anyone else in the flock looking a bit peaky?

I don't have sardines but have fed all the chicks egg this evening and i have some roast beef leftovers for them tmw.
The cockerel gobbled up his feed soaked in multivitamin water and his egg with extra B vitamins added... all be it all from his flomped over stance.
This evening however he is looking much worse. I'm not sure if he'll be with us in the morning tbh. Very shocked and can't figure out what has happened to him...

So far the rest of the chicks seem fine 🙂 🤞🤞🤞

Do you know any chicken sexer's or reputable breeders in your area? I have found that they usually know a lot about poultry health and can usually help with a video call.

I don't really tbh... we have a vet not too far but I've never used them for anything in the past so have no idea what they're like... I could contact the pple I bought the eggs from that this cockerel hatched from. They would know the breed and may be able to help.

He's fed a small amount this morning but not a lot. Poo looks normal, slightly watery but then he ate a lot of food soaked in electrolytes and vitamin water last night so I'm not too surprised about them. He crowed 3 times from his flopped down position this morning. Can still turn round in his box but isn't standing properly. Makes very little effort to move and then flops his head back own again, wings slightly out. Lifts his head from time to time and pecks round at his straw and then flops back down again. I have him isolated in a small plastic box inside by our back door atm.

Edit to add I appreciate your response and advice, thank you.

If your vet treats birds you can take him there, my local vet looked at me like I was strange when I walked in with a chicken. They did diagnose it for me but said that they were not equiped to treat it as they were not a bird vet, fortunately the breeder knew how to treat the problem and asked me to bring it back to him.

Ask the people that you got the eggs from, they may be able to help.
Other options if the vet or the breeder don't pan out are to get in contact with your local poultry clubs and feed stores to see if they know a "chicken whisperer" so to speak.

Thank you....

He's back in the garden now and walks around, like an old man. Is eating and drinking a bit and sits down looking dead for a bit too.
Part of me thinks I should let him in with his brother and the crew but I just don't know what's wrong with him and whether he should be in close contact with my other chicks or not

It's going to take him time to recover from the mite infestation.
