It's really cold. Lots of ice, no snow.

It takes me awhile in the morning. Let the ducks out, break the ice, break the ice on the goose pond, change out the waterers for the rabbits.

This morning a big fat Appleyard got my attention, stared me in the eye and then looked pointedly at her empty feeder. I told her she had to wait until the rabbits had water.

I hear this click click click. She is tapping the bottom of the feeder. Then she looks me very pointedly in the eye, looks at the feeder, looks back at me, taps the bottom of the feeder and gives me an irritated stare.

Yeah, right. I get it. The feeder is empty. You still have to wait until the rabbits have water. Jeez. Hold your horses.

You really can't get good help these days. She's probably considering firing me.

Boy, she's strict!!! I hope she give you a second chance. Or three strikes before you're out. Aren't they fun!

I love it! I have never gotten the look and the tap, but I sure have a flock of squawking ducks if I am not out be 7 am! Patience is not a waterfowl virtue! I so wanted to stay in the bed this morning. Told husband I just wanted to sleep in - which I NEVER do. He said, "Why don't you?" I said, "the ducks aren't going to allow it! They will wake the neighbors". ( and the neighbors are half a mile away! ) We can hear them squawking (from inside the house) clear on across the yard and on the other end of the house when they are upset.

Good thing you don't have comment cards by their food bowl.
I hope she still tipped you.
