Bad weather coming, how do they know?

The weathermen/women here cant predict yesterdays weather much less tomorrow's. That's why I tend to listen to the frogs and watch the birds, watch the types of clouds etc....sometimes I can smell the rain depending on the wind direction.

Hey MrBstephens. We are here on Long Island too. Out in Ridge. Where are you? We plan on just closing their window and hatch door which both have locks. If the weather prediction tomorrow looks like we are gonna get hit very bad, we won't hesitate to bring them in the basement. We have plenty of water and food for them and have extra straw to put on the floor.

Hi Maureen. You'd be surprised how many Long Islanders are on this forum! I'm in Hampton Bays! OK. If I see it's getting bad I'll close the windows and pop door. Our coop is built well so I think they'll be fine. Nice to meet you!

mrbstephens Becareful! I grew up in Great River (south shore) in the 60's,70's and early 80's before I grew up and moved away ....been through some Cat 2s at best, but if this monster stays together...God help you! Can you bring your chicks in the garage? Good luck...prayers for all in its path!
