Chicken Little's life started out kind of rough. Not only was it a very late in the season hatch but I had a salmon faverole hen who would go into the brood box, kill and eat the chicks as they hatched.
Understandably she was pretty much velcroed to the brood mama's belly for a long time. When they finally emerged into the sunshine I noticed that the little chick would spin to the left, At first I thought that because she is bearded that she was having a hard time seeing the food, the waterer and the ground but now at 6 months she still spins to the left, kinda looks like whirling disease of fish. It usually lasts a minute or two. It happens pretty frequently throughout the day. Chicken Little still spends most of her time with Mama Gretta, she eats well, roosts fine and lays pretty little pink eggs. Any one have any ideas or have heard of such a thing?
