I have a 4 week old that I believe was pecked around the eye. She was keeping it closed but it got infected. It became red and started discharging- I could tell because there was crustys on her wing where she had been rubbing her eye. She is on her 2nd day of duramycin-10 and the eye isnt red and she is sometimes opening it partway. Her eyelid looks dry and she keeps rubbing it, I am wondering if bag balm might soothe it a bit. I only have neosporine with the added pain reliever and I did intiially put that on her eye but I would prefer the bag balm if its ok.
