Do any of you cooks use olive oil in your baking? As in desserts, like cakes, cookies, etc? I use it with my regular cooking but haven't as yet in my baking. Is it ok to use that way or not?

I have ONE recipe for a cake that uses olive oil but otherwise stick to vegetable oil for baking.

Olive oil has too distinct a flavor of its own to add to baked goods.

try a light olive oil insteas of a virgin or extra virgin, it has a lighter taste, not so floral and fruity.... but i normally stick to vegetable oil for baking

I use olive oil in all my baking that calls for oil - yellow cake, brownies, carrot cake you name it, have for 6 years now.

Cannot taste anything but the good stuff, even the batter tastes great!

I use olive oil when baking too, I even use it to replace the butter in muffin/cake recpies. Just not bread or pastry, never noticed the difference here!
