Is that on the second floor or something? What made you want to build it up there? Do you have a yard? Is that a house or apartment?

3rd floor flat/apartment. we have a *small* garden/yard at the back but's almost all paving slabs and it doesn't get much sun so we don't go down there at all really, plus we get stray dogs and it's not fenced in very well so no good to free-range in...they're much better off where they are. plus they're pets so we want them where we are and the kids are.

the next flat is going to have a roof garden just for us (perk of owning the construction company!) so we'll have the option of using even more space and giving them an outside run on top of what they have here.

Spunky the Monkey, where did you get your name? I had a red vinyl record in 1948 or 1949 (probably a 76 rpm) and one side was a song about Spunky the Monkey and how he wanted to see the wide, wide world. Surely, you're not that old?
