Hiya! I had a ruthless rooster who wouldn't stop riding my 3 hens, so I found somebody with 30 hens who wanted a rooster. That's more his speed; 30 hens. Anyway, he wore the feathers off the tops of my hens. He's been gone awhile, but their backs aren't re-feathering. In fact two of them look worse. Kind of inflamed, even, maybe sunburn. What do I do?? One of them is a big fat Brahma, so if I go with the fabric saddle covers, I'd need to find a big one for he

You can put cool aloe vera on their backs to make them feel better and it should soothe their skin if it is burnt.

Make sure they aren't pecking each other though. Ours get 20% protein all flock, and it takes time, but they grow back. I had a chocolate hen I didn't catch in time before her back was almost bare, and a saddle did work, but since you have no rooster anymore, I wouldn't bother with one unless you find they're picking on each other.
