hey, everybody! I have 2 buckeyes and they are really sweet! But I have 11 other layers and they are hurting them really bad. The other layers pluck the feathers off their vent and on of the buckeyes head. I already put the purple spray on but it didn't help. What should I do?

Are all your birds picking on them or just a particular bird being mean. If you have just one meanie then take the mean one out for a while to lower her status on the pecking order. Otherwise I would take the injured birds out until they can regrow their feathers and heal up then re-introduce them.

Yeah I have the buckeyes out in a little pen for the day, but at night I have to put them in with the rest. I try to get out as early as I can to separate but I still find the blood. But, for the meanie part, I have about 5 of my eleven that really pick on them, but I've seen the rest do it a couple times. I keep some of my fancies out in the pen to keep company and they at times get picked on also. Me and my parents are about to get a shed to put all of my layers in (which are the meanies), and i'm going to put all of my fancies and the buckeyes in the one we have now, but until then, what should I do?
