Bald Chick

I have a chick that doesn't have any hair or feathers from the top of the breast to the outlet. The skin is not red or irritated. It has feathers everywhere else. It doesn't act sick. I was putting some TAO ointment on it but it really didn't seem to make it better. It has been that way since we brought it home. Any ideas what it could be? It is 4 weeks old.

Do you have a pic? Without seeing a pic, I'd say the new feathers might be coming in.

No but I will try to take one and post it tomorrow. A few feathers are starting to come in but very few and they are in a line. Really weird looking.

Sounds like a Cornish x Rock. They don't have many feathers.

It does look different than the others. It's head is whiter than the rest. The others are more yellow.
