I have read up on this to find out what it is and it must be the other hen with her is eating her feathers but I don’t know how to stop it without separating them which I don’t want to do because they are one of my pekin lavender trios and sisters so is there any methods I can try to Stop here from eating her sisters feathers?

Can you post some photos?

If the baldness is due to feather picking and the other hen is eating them they may need more protein in the diet or some type of stimulation to break up boredom. What do you feed (type of feed/%protein). How much space do they have? photos of that too?

I just feed them regular layers pellets and scraps from the kitchen so not sure how much protein and how can you get more down them and they have plenty of space

Are you seeing the other hen eat the feathers or is she just plucking them out?

Extra protein can come from higher protein feed like all flock, from meat, fish or eggs.
If you can post some photos of the baldness, that may help.
Sometimes chickens just pluck feathers at night while roosting too.

No I can’t see anything eating them or her eating then and no sign of feathers anywhere so thought one must be eating and I’ll get picture later

These are the pictures and this morning I have just seen this chicken eating feathers what does this mean they are lacking because apart from her bald bum she still looks healthy laying eggs and really healthy and her shells are good

Protein, specifically animal protein....adding more won't always 'cure' the issue tho.
Feather picking can become a bad habit from boredom, crowding, etc.
Have several bald butted birds here, I don't worry about it.

Could be bugs too.
Have you checked them over real well for mites and/or lice?

Google images of lice/mites and their eggs before the inspection so you'll know what you're looking for.

Part the feathers right down to the skin around vent, head/neck and under wings.

Best done well after dark with a strong flashlight/headlight, easier to 'catch' bird and also to check for the mites that live in structure and only come out at night to feed off roosting birds.

Wipe a white paper towel along the underside of roost to look for red smears(smashed well fed mites).
