Has anyone seen a bald hatchling?

Hoping it’s not a defect of some kind. I have a young crested in my flock but her eggs have all been infertile. I check the before using those for cookino . . . and don’t want her eggs incubated. Just hoping hubby didn’t mix up eggs.
