Bald spots on one chicken and laying soft shell eggs

I have a chicken that I thought was molting, but has been missing feathers for months and she lays soft shell eggs. Her comb is very red and healthy. She does not seem sick. Any advice?

Do you have pictures that you can attach?
Do you have a rooster?
How old is this chicken?

I’ll have to take pictures, but I do not have a rooster and she’ll be 2 in March. She has a bald spot on her back and chest about the size of a quarter or a little bigger.

I'm having the same issue with my Barred Rock. She will also be 2 this year in Sept. She seems healthy except for the soft shelled eggs and the sparse feathers. Have you had anymore luck finding out a diagnosis? Did your egg problem resolve itself? Was it perhaps a soft molt?
