Balding chicken head

Molt doesn't look like that and if you're in the Northern hemisphere, wrong time of year. She's not losing feathers elsewhere.
Perhaps she got into a spat with another hen and was scalped.

I have a quail that scalped himself on the roof of the brooder when he did what quails do and BOINKED the underside of the hardware cloth.



Surprisingly, he made it and has a nice bald spot on the top of his head where the feathers didn't grow back.

Kinda makes him look like Friar Tuck.

So could that be why my hen doesn't have any feathers on her head either?

So last night something happened because when I went out this morning she was bald and the eggs she was sitting on we're scatter all over the coop plus her tummy where she plucked her feathers put is wet and it smells funny.. What is happening???? please help thank you!
