When shipping eggs, can I take a big balloon and stick all the eggs in there with bubble wrap etc?? It may not hold much but I wonder if thisbeould work well. It would make the eggs fit tighter together. I have also heard of putting bird seeds as a shipping material becausebthey absorb shock. A friend said he got eggs from japan in birdseed and they all hatches. I could take a balloon and put eggs I. It them fill the balloon with birdseed. Am I crazy?? Haha

Most broken eggs I've recieved in the mail are usually from being pressed up against other eggs. Being pulled close to other might mean that if one side is smashed you wont lose one egg you will lose a lot more as the force is transfered through the closely packed eggs. If the eggs have more space between them that is filled with something to absorb shock you minimize loss.

The eggs need to breathe too so wrapping them in latex might not be such a good idea. Sorry.
