Yes, but I'm seeing a lot of Quail You Tubers talking about it.

I don't think it's a great idea to use quail eggs for balut, even jumbo chicks are minuscule. Not sure I could ever bring myself to eat it though, not the most visually appealing dish ever lol

I know. It's not appealing to me, but to each their own.

There is certainly a market for quail balut. I don't think it matters if you use jumbo or regular eggs if you have a market for them.
