Texas Hill Country!
Can you have a standard hen and a banty roo mix?

I bet the deed in order to get those half sized off spring must be pretty funny. Can you imagine a tiny bantam roo and a big BO hen or something!?! It reminds of the time I saw a male chiuaua and a female golden retriever.

We had a CornishX that we kept to see how long she would live....Well our little teenager Red Star roo loved her. He was only about 10wks old when he first decided to be interested in her. He would jump on her, but he wasn't big enough to do the job. Poor guy looked like a small child riding a big wild horse (he never stayed on for long). Since then she has died from a heart attack and the roo has resorted to his own Red Star hens for "chicken love".

well thats why I asked! My little bantam cochin is grabbing the necks of the big girls (neither of them are old enough) It's pretty funny they go running and he is just hanigin on!

I think he is still growing, I am new to chickens and not sure about full size for either of them.

This is a little chick that his/her mom was a CornishX and daddy was a Black silkie. He/she is bantam size.

I have a hen that is a cross from a leghorn and I think a Bantam cochin (we Think). Don't know which was the rooster. I bought her at a local feed store. The sign said bantams but now she has grown to be twice the size of the other bantams but is still half the size of a regular hen
