Banded our bucks today...

And what an experience that was. DH held the goats while I used the banding tool. I'm so glad DH was there because I couldn't figure out how to get those "big things" through the little hole of the banding tool. Didn't realize I could just squeeze "them" to get them to move to where I needed them to be. LOL

Hopefully all will go well and we will have 4 wethers in a couple of weeks.

That's my DH's job - I'll happily hold the goat but HE has to do the banding!

Yup, in 20-30 days you'll have some wethers! Did you remember to administer tet. shots?

i did that to a calf at camp and we also castrated pigs.

one day, i may have to do that. i know once they are older, they are gigantic. geez. but good to know you can just squeeze and push.
