I have tried to slowly integrate a bantam turken (I was told she was a standard when I bought her) into my flock of regular chickens for the past two and a half weeks. Today DW let them all out together and the big ones attacked her and ripped the skin off the back of her neck. I've got the chicken triage part under control, but how the heck can I get them to live in peace once she heals? I really like her and don't have the room to keep her in separate quarters.
Thanks in advance.

Identify the ringleaders and use clip on peepers. I had 3 troublemakers and after I peepered them nobody else really seemed to care a WHOLE lot and things settled down. I left them on for a month and they were changed hens!

Would those clips work on fighting boys? I have a mixed D'Uccle cockrel on his way out possibly, because of one of my Cochin boys

this morning. I was told one of them was on top of him doing who knows what, what it sounds like is asserting himself or something, they're 4 mo. None saw he was under it until the other moved off and noticed he was hurt then. I have'nt noticed any fighting aside from the usual lil' squabbles. It looks like a head injury. There's no blood anywhere but he can't standup right ,his head is droopy and when I just check on him he looked dead lying on his side. He was eating earlier but I don't think it's good.

I did'nt think they would hurt eachother like that until they were older.
