My daughters favorite chicken was just taken by a nasty hawk. I need to replace her. So anyone with NICE blue batam cochins please contact me.

Well, I went out last night to collect eggs and found Blue Bell in the nest box. I assumed she was dead because of all the feathers that were laying around. She's missing feathers on half her body, but no punchture wounds or blood.
So she's alive!!! Whew!! No need for a new chicken. Thanks!

Well that is surely good news. Your Blue Bell was probably spooked but smart enough she found someplace to hide until she got over it. A very, very smart chicken. I am sure my wife would concur with me, she deserves a very special treat, maybe some Ramen Noodles with salad mixed in...

And we're so glad your daughter has her favorite hen back. We've lost a beloved parakeet and a couple hens in 2008 so we know how you felt (PAST TENSE thank goodness for you).
