I recently got two bantam chicks. I do not know what specific breed because when choosing they had all the different kind of bantams mixed in. Also I was having a hard time determining the gender. They both have fluff on the top of their feet but ones wings look longer than the other so I am assuming they are different breeds. 1F42B6D3-0354-4962-BA35-22758E5312DA.jpeg 6C271285-CFF7-4DC5-8A71-3FC61A5EDD94.jpeg 37368EA9-7FF0-4CED-9844-164E30F96B57.png A5A071B1-3174-4E72-99B4-E783F734966A.jpeg 1F42B6D3-0354-4962-BA35-22758E5312DA.jpeg A4AE1E7C-C16A-455F-AD48-08C56F554C45.jpeg

They're adorable!! :love

They look like they could be cochins to me (but I don't have a ton of experience in the breed). They're a little too young to tell the sex at this point. I have heard about the wing-sex method but I've never had any really luck with it. Come back when they're about 12 weeks old with pictures of their combs, wings, tails, and full-body side profiles and we should be able to help you.

Once they have wing feathers it will be easier to sort them out. Looks like it could be a mottled Cochin and a Partridge Cochin. When you can determine their comb type, it will help too. Cochins and d'Uccles have straight combs, Brahmas have pea combs.
