Also I'm not exactly sure how old they are or my black copper maran chick is but it also has wing feathers and tail feathers coming in, the bcm is a lot smaller than the other two could it be a bantam?

Looks like they might be super cute! Haha! I agree about cochins. My blue cochin looked like them when she was a chick.

Your darker chick looks just like the black bantam I have. I am trying to determine the breed too. The only difference is that mine doesn't have fuzz on his/her feeties :)

I am thinking mine might be a mixed breed.

Good luck. I'll be watching this thread to see if any answers sound like they could be for my little lady/gent too.

I agree with the above consensus about the feather-footed ones looking like Cochins. Maybe Black and partridge and if they are both the same age and they are both Cochins, the black is feathering out more slowly and that is an indicator of boy.

As for the Marans. Is it the same age as the other two? I think that Bantam Marans are still project birds so it is unlikely that you have one unless these cuties came from a breeder. Cochins feather out really slowly compared to most other breeds I've had so it may be that they are just a bit older than the Marans. Is it possible that they are not bantams after all? Where did you get them from?
