For 1 & 2, I have looked but all I see is a flat thin line, but it could be just be wishful thinking on my part. the top of their beak doesn't look as wide at the top as what I have seen with other pea combs. They really don't have the fluffy checks that my #5 has either. The blue/lavender has clean legs. Also a pea comb if I look really really close.I’ve noticed hatchery d’Uccles are losing more of their ideal features lately and are even referred to as booted bantams sometimes but it is possible they may be Brahma, do they have a pea comb? As far as I know no hatcheries sell feather footed Easter Eggers but they are technically a mixed breed so that could be a possibility too.
they order from Ideal so the breeds that jump out at me are Buff Brahma and and Mills Fleur D'Uccle. I almost ordered some but with minimum order requirements and shipping charges i decided to buy local. Originally i only wanted to get 8-10 at most. Well.... I have 22... So now I really can't order a big shipment without my husband taking my bank card and locking it up. Although it's so tempting.Find out what hatchery they came from, and then find out what breeds and colors that hatchery carries. Then it will be easy!
Some hatcheries mix the 'Booted Bantams' with the Belgian d'Uccles, in one batch. If you want those adorable muffs, get those chicks!
