We decided to buy some bantam chicks from McMurray but they have a 15 chick limit, and we only needed around 5. Because of this, we decided to order 15 (and a free extra!) and then adopt the others out for free.

They arrived on the 29th of July and seem healthy and energetic. They are eating, drinking, and toddling around.

We got:
A Mottled Cochin (plan on giving away)
7 Silver Sebrights (plan on keeping 3-4 and giving away the rest)
A Quail Antwerp (plan on giving away)
An Easter Egger Bantam (plan on giving away)
A Partridge Rock bantam (plan on giving away)
A White Silkie (Plan on giving away)
A Buff Brahma (plan on giving away)
A Buff Silkie (keeping)
And a Mille Fleur d'Uccle (may or may not keep)

We live northwest of Columbus and can drive them to Columbus or the surrounding areas.

I want my chickies to go to good homes, I wish I could keep them, so consider that some may be roosters before taking them in (so you don't just have to rehome them again). I don't want them to be alone, so consider getting at least 2 so they can be buddies.

I love getting new chicks, and I hope that they can become wonderful pets/breeders/show-birds/ect to however they go to.

I wish you were not so far... I am in Akron (probably 2 hours I'm guessing). I have room and would take some... just too far. If you get into a spot and need to let them go and want to try to meet let me know.

Ok if you are ok heading this direction i will gladly give them a home. Let me know how many. I just want to make sure i can accommodate all. I work at home so my schedule is flexible.

D'Uccles are hard to sex I think for a while, but if you can keep it, they are really dear!

I wanted to keep it, but I didn't want him/her to mess-up my breeding project by crossing with them. I found all 11 a wonderful new home.

Well we are loving on them!!! I am having a hard time telling them apart. Right now we have decided to keep all of them. My friend may take 1 or 2 in the spring but is not allowed to have Roos so I am keeping until we know what's what. I have room for Roos so that's not an issue

Wonderful. My D'Uccle Roo was a really late bloomer. Looked same as the 3 hens until at least 5 months, then BLAM, grew comb and started crowing in like 3 weeks. Good little guy. The hens are lovely, fly to my hand for treats and then pets! My very ugly Parrots. lol. Great Broody Mommas at 10 months both hatched all fertile eggs and are ferocious protectors of their babies. Just sayin. Oh and give them plenty of time for their spots and foot feathers. They are about to turn a year and are just getting really great leg feathers and spots continually appear.

You probably know all that.... I didnt, learning curve...

Yes I had 3 of them before. One was a hen and 2 were roosters. We got them simply because I thought they were cute. The two roos died over the winter and then hen this past spring. It was sad. We really enjoyed them. I am glad to have them again.

We also had 2 Seabrights. A silver and gold. Both of those were killed a few weeks ago. Not positive by what. It killed 5 of our hens. I was so upset. They are more than just egg layers to us.

I will keep you up to date as to how they all do. :)
