One of my hens is a little bantam cochin, and she is ALWAYS broody. I have let her hatch out three clutches in less than a year, and she is mega broody again! It is literally freezing outside and she just always wants to be a mom. When she's broody, she really commits to the job, even if I don't let her keep any eggs. I'm not allowed to have too many chickens, as I live in town with city ordinances. Should I let her continue to hatch out eggs over and over or should I try to encourage her to snap out of it each time? Sometimes that takes weeks, which means she isn't eating and drinking very much.
TIA

You should always break a broody if you aren't going to let them hatch. They can become depleted and overrun with external parasites while setting. I've had good luck just penning them away from their chosen nest site for 3-5 days. For stubborn ones you will need a wire bottom crate.
