at what age should they start getting a comb and wattles if a boy?
I had read that male cochins feather slowly.............but, my bantam cochin is almost 9 weeks old and has no sign of a comb or wattles, but was very slow to feather in. Still has the white feathers on the face

these pics were taken about a week ago

that's good news !!!!! My daughter fell in love with this baby, I was going to take it to a Poultry Swap tomorrow if a boy, saved by the comb and wattle bell, she can stay. !!!!!!

I am happy, as my daughter is elated. She cuddled her oodles again today.

only problem now is, she's so little and I want to merge the other chicks with some older chicks as my new egg laying flock, however this bantam is too little , she'd get pummeled for sure.
I won't be merging them yet, as I want to wait until they are of similar size. But, the bantam, will never be, not sure what to do with her.
decisions decisions.
