Needing help, I have a bantam cochin, white roo, that has a swollen toe, missing nail, but also his skin running along his feathers is BRIGHT RED. There is no black on the bottom of his foot, and the swelling is mainly on the top of his toe, not the bottom. He is around a year an a half ( guessing, I have had him almost a year) . Today I got out gloves, towels, Hibiclens, ointment, and band-aids. Wrapped him up, washed his foot,

and pulled three feathers off the top of his toe ( thinking it would open up any yuck that might be inside), squeezed it a lil, but nothing happened!!! I re-washed it then let him go. . . . ?????? No band-aid, no ointment. He walks fine and acts normal. . . what do i do now???? I will get photos in the a.m. but ideas would be nice.

These pictures were taken the day I posted the thread. . . I had some trouble with my service, sorry it took me awhile to get them on here. The good news is Theo is still running around like normal. I have done nothing else to him. . . .

But I am headed out to check him again now! Any tips till I get back???
