Bantam Cochin Tips

By the way - those of you who have the Rhode Island Red Bantams - what is their personality really like? Are they gentle?

My latest list of interest includes:

Orpington Bantams (gentle, good layers, pretty)
Pekin/cochin Bantams (gentle, good layers, pretty)

faverolles bantams (gentle, good winter layers, pretty - but not available from Cackle)

Possible options:
Rhode Island Red(personality?, good layers, tidy looking)


Ameracauna/easter egger bantams from Cackle - (no info - hoping to learn about them)

dh & I picked up eggs yesturday from dickschicks (he is on eggbid) what a great set up he has!!!

anyway the RIR bantams were so calm & gentle eggs were a nice size (also got Blue Orpinton batam eggs that were huge)

Does he have a web site? I have no broody hens to hatch with - but there's always the future.

click on bantam
then look for someone selling barred rock bantams with picture

look at the seller's name if dickschicks ((that is hime))
then click view other autions & you will see what he has

I have to say his chickens look nothing like hatchery chickens!

I could not believe the difference his barred rocks look nothing like mine!
