Bantam Cochin

I have early spring hatches of Bantam Cochins that are laying. My plan was to separate colors into pens late fall early spring. I have black, black mottled, and blue mottled. One solid black rooster, one black mottled rooster, three black hens, two blue mottled hens and two black mottled hens. My intentions were to find roos in all three colors and separate. What should I expect? Does black override other colors? I’m gathering five eggs a day with three Nuture rights going right now. All three colors were from different reliable breeders. My chickens decided I was to slow at separating!

You could get black, black carrying mottling, black mottled, blue, blue carrying mottling, and blue mottled.

Thank you! It looks like I’ll be having an additional area for these hatches. I guess this is one way to check hatch rates. First year I’ve ever had chickens to hatch and lay in the same year.
