bantam cochins - rooster sharing nesting duties? *pics*

i have 4 bantam cochins (2 roo's 2 pullets) and 1 pullet decided to go broody and sit on her eggs. anyhow today i walked in to find broody getting a bite to eat and Roo sitting on the eggs??

is this a regular occurence or do i have a very caring roo?


all change and mum is bck on the eggs.....

How sweet! I have heard that roos can be maternal but I have never seen it. I'm going to try my hand at raising babies this summer with some Bantam Cochins that I have on order, can't wait!!!
