It Looks fine. According to tsc website it will hold 15.
Nah......they always mis-represent how many birds they will healthily hold.

I'm new to owning chickens and was looking at a coop from tractor supply company. I know there not ideal and I can make a better one but was wondering if the size would be ok for 8 bantam barred rocks. I plan on changing the latches to make it safer and making it completely waterproof. I want to build a better coop in a year or 2 but was hoping this one would be ok

Thanks for any input
Dimensions given are misleading....can't really tell how big the actual coop part is.
Am guessing the coop part is about 5 feet wide(minus the nests) by about 2-3?
5 bantams might be comfortable.....8 might be tight.
Use one nest space for feed/water....or extra floor space.
Another issue with these is raising roosts so they don't sleep in nests.

ETA:
Someone did a really great modification on one of these but I can't find it!
Still looking tho.
Oh, and, Welcome to BYC!
